Client: Seed Earth International

Description: The entire marketing campaign for this product was created, from conceptualization of the idea to the final product. The campaign included identity, direct mail ads, billboard ads, business cards, letterhead, brochures, website and a magazine ad. An extensive amount of time was put into the campaign's identity, and went through many design revisions. The initial goal was to portray the small seed as having a global impact, while typography was used to create a strong message. The logo was designed to be split into to parts if necessary; purely text, or purely illustration. Simplistic but bold statements were used throughout the print campaign to draw the viewer to the developed website and donate to the campaign. The entire project was design to be printed on natural looking recycled paper, to fit with the environmentally friendly views of the campaign.

Client: School of Environmental Studies

Description: The idea for the site started as a way to create a more usable tool for students to interact with the information they need on a daily basis. The existing site was clumsy, hard to navigate, and often left the user more frustrated then relieved when finding the information they needed. It was out of this problem that we sought to find a solution. Creating a user friendly and navigable site was the key component to the design. After conducting research from students, teachers and parents, work began on building features into the site, including a hierarchical location system and site search. Pages were regrouped into larger categories and the most heavily accessed parts of the site were moved to the main pages for easy accessibility. The site was built in standards compliant XHTML and CSS, enabling teachers to easily create and edit content. A companion site for the SES Renewable Energy project was launched, using flash to visualize live data output from the school's wind-turbine. The live data graphs will allow students to compare power outputs and other recorded information for school projects.
